What is Factoring?

According to Mathematics, factorisation or factoring of Positive integers can be defined as the number that are Positive integers which can be divided and in that remainder remain zero.

However, it is important to have a factoring Positive Integer which has 2 factors 1 and the number itself. These numbers have only 2 factors: the numbers are called prime numbers.

Factorization:

The factorisation is defined as a number term as a Positive integer that is factorization which makes an exponential form into a compact.

How to Factor Numbers?

You can identify the factors as the whole number or as a Positive Integer factor and factors can be determined using the trial method and multiplication method. Factor numbers are divisible by the product of that number. Factors don’t have any decimal fractions; they have the whole number as a Positive Integer. All the even numbers as factors must have 2 in them.

Solved Example: How to Calculate Factoring of Positive integer using the division method

Example:

Perform the Factoring for the positive integer 48 using the division method

Solution:

Given positive integer 48,

To perform factoring, let’s find out the square root

48 /1 =48

48/2= 24

48/3= 16

48/4= 12

48/6= 8

48/8= 6

Hence the factors for 48 are1,2,3,4,6,8,12,16,24, and 48.

Factoring Calculator with Steps

To calculate the factor of Positive Integer. Following the steps using the division method.

  1. Consider the square root of that number as a Positive Integer as n.
  2. You can start with the number 1 and using the factor with a Positive integer you can divide by n/1. You can consider the whole number.
  3. Take another factor number which has the remainder as 0.
  4. Finally, you will find the factor of the number of Positive Integers as pairs results as n/s with remainder zero.
